WACO – The Texas A&M men's tennis team swept through singles action at the Big 12-SEC Challenge at the Hurd Tennis Center Saturday.

The Aggies only dropped two sets in singles to tally six singles wins on the day. Junior Lathan Skrobarcek opened singles with a near perfect tiebreaker in his first set to defeat Baran Soyler of Baylor 7-6 (1), 6-3. Sophomore Alex Frusina took down Arizona State's Ofek Shimanov in straight-sets, 6-1, 7-6 (2). In a SEC matchup, redshirt sophomore Ritesh Patil topped Evan Burnett from Texas, 6-1, 7-5. Senior Togan Tokac rallied back after losing the first set tiebreaker to triumph over Arizona State's Niels Villard, 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-2. Splitting the first two sets, junior Tiago Pires secured the third for the win versus Shu Matsuoka of Arizona State, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Senior Ethan Silva wrapped up the day with a victory over Baylor's Arman Zamani, 6-3, 6-4.

The tandem of Skrobarcek and Frusina picked up the Maroon & White's only doubles win of the day against Arman Zamani and Calvin Baierl of Baylor, 8-4. Tokac and Pires along with Patil and Silva dropped their respective doubles matches, making the Aggies record for the day 7-2.
