Nine Aggies Prepped for Main Draw at the ITA Texas Regional
Oct 17, 2025 | Men's Tennis
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M men's tennis team will battle for individual berths into the NCAA Championships while hosting the ITA Texas Regional Saturday through Tuesday at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
"We've got an unbelievable region," head coach Steve Denton said. "It's a great opportunity for our guys to step up and be able to earn a spot in the NCAA Championships. We're on our home courts and it is a weekend for them to play high level tennis."
The Aggies boast nine players in the main draw, including seniors Ethan Silva and Togan Tokac, juniors Kholo Montsi and Lathan Skrobarcek, sophomores Alex Frusina, Ritesh Patil and Tiago Pires and freshmen Egor Gorin and Kriish Tyagi. Silva leads the way for the Aggies, boasting a 5-1 fall record after winning his flight at the Waco Fall Kickoff Classic.
The Maroon & White will also feature four main draw doubles tandems, with duos including Pires and Tokac, Patil and Montsi, Frusina and Skrobarcek and Tyagi and Silva. Frusina and Montsi will split up after making a run to the ITA All-American Championship consolation finals.
The ITA Texas Regional serves as a chance for players to earn a spot in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Orlando from November 18-23. The two singles finalists and the doubles champion from this regional qualify for a spot in the championships.
The main draw schedule will be released Friday night after the conclusion of the qualifying draw on the tournament hub.
