
No. 5 Women’s Golf Prepares for Jim West Challenge

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The No. 5 Texas A&M women's golf team is scheduled to play 54 holes at the Jim West Challenge at the Kissing Tree Golf Club Oct. 19-20.
The Aggies are off to a hot start and have recorded two team titles followed by a runner-up finish in the NB3 Twin Warriors Matchplay event to assert their dominance at the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign.
The tournament will be featured on ESPN+ Sunday from 1:30-5 p.m. and 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday.
The Lineup
Leading the charge into San Marcos is junior Cayetana Fernandez Garcia-Poggio who is ranked No. 15 on the Scoreboard Individual Ranking. Also in the lineup and in the top-25 of the rankings are Vanessa Borovilos (22) and Brynn Kort (25). Texas A&M is one of three schools to have at least three golfers in the top-25 of this year's individual rankings.
Rounding out the lineup are freshman Natalie Yen and junior Louise Reau. Yen is the reigning U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Champion and Reau is a two-time Sun Belt Golfer of the Year. Sky Sudberry will compete as an individual.
The Format
Texas A&M begins play with 36 holes Sunday to open the tournament with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, followed by the final 18 Monday. Sunday's coverage begins at 8 a.m. and Monday at 1 p.m. Live stats can be followed at scoreboard.clippd.com.
