BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M's Alex Frusina will play for a qualifying spot to the NCAA Men's Singles Championship in the semifinal round at the ITA Texas Regional at the Mitchell Tennis Center on Tuesday.

The junior earned his spot in the semifinal round after a dominating straight-set victory over Baylor's Ioan Alexandru Chirita, 6-2, 6-1. He is set to face Texas' Sebastian Eriksson at 10:30 a.m. The winner of the match will earn a spot in the NCAA Singles Championship in Orlando from Nov. 18-23.
