Aggies Conclude Action at Big 12-SEC Challenge

WACO – The Texas A&M men's tennis team concluded the Big 12-SEC Challenge on Sunday at the Hurd Tennis Center with a 17-10 overall record over the three-day event.
The Aggies opened up the day with a pair of doubles victories. Senior Togan Tokac and junior Tiago Pires downed Texas Tech's Niksa Arsic and Thiago Guglieri, 8-3. Junior Lathan Skrobarcek and redshirt sophomore Ritesh Patil topped Ludovico Vaccari and Ofek Shimanov of Texas Tech and Arizona State, 8-4.
On the singles end, freshman Kriish Tyagi picked up his first win as an Aggie over Baylor's Arman Zamani, 6-4, 6-4. Patil claimed his second win of the day against Calvin Baierl of Baylor, 6-3, 6-3. Senior Ethan Silva wrapped up the weekend's action with a victory over Guglieri, 6-4, 7-5.
The Maroon & White return to action at the ITA Texas Regional Championship at the Mitchell Tennis Center from Oct. 17-21.
