
No. 6 Aggies Head to Florida for Wednesday Night Matchup

GAINESVILLE – The No. 6 Texas A&M volleyball team closes its conference road slate at Florida Wednesday evening at Exactech Arena with first serve set for 6 p.m.
The Aggies continued to roll through conference play, securing their eighth consecutive win and 12th sweep of the season against Auburn Friday evening. The Maroon and White hit an impressive .392 percent as a unit to mark their highest hitting percentage of SEC play, as three players reached double-digit kills on the night.
Maddie Waak piloted the offense, delivering 44 assists to guide A&M to its second-best hitting performance of the year. Her showing at Auburn earned her SEC Setter of the Week honors for the second time this season, as she ranks among the SEC's top setters in both assists per set and team hitting efficiency.
Emily Hellmuth led the pack with 15 kills on a season-best .483 clip, while Logan Lednicky followed with 11 kills to mark her 13th straight game with 10 or more. Ifenna Cos-Okpalla steadied the defense with four blocks, becoming the fourth Aggie in program history to eclipse 500 career stuffs.
The Matchups
Wednesday marks the 25th meeting between Texas A&M and Florida, with the Gators holding a 22-2 advantage in the all-time series and a 10-1 edge while playing in Gainesville. The Aggies have thrived away from home this season with a 10-2 record, while Florida is strong at home at 7-2.
Head coach Jamie Morrison owns one of the Aggies two wins against the Gators, which came in 2023 when the Maroon & White stunned No. 4 Florida in a five-set thriller on its home court. The win marked A&M's highest-ranked victory in 24 years.
This year on the stat sheet, the Aggies lead the Gators in six of the seven team statistical categories including hitting percentage, opponent hitting percentage, and then kills, assists, aces and blocks per set, while Florida leads in digs per frame.
