Texas A&M Diving Team Heads to Austin for Texas Diving Invitational

AUSTIN – The Texas A&M diving team competes in the Texas Diving Invitational at the Jamail Texas Swim Center beginning on Thursday and concluding on Saturday. The Aggies currently have four women and three men qualified for NCAA Zone D Championships.
The schools competing in this invitational include Texas A&M, Texas, TCU, North Texas, Arizona, Utah, Stanford and Miami.
Freshman Emilio Trevino has had NCAA Zones qualifications on both springboards with scores of 346.28 on the 1-meter and 370.58 on the 3-meter. Sophomore Jaxon Bowshire has qualified for NCAA Zones on the 1-meter springboard with a score of 341.85 which also became his new career best. Senior Matthew Aigner neared personal-best scores in the meet against TCU with a 306.68 on the 1-meter and a 337.95 on the platform.
On the women's side, sophomore Bridget Foster has won the 3-meter twice this season and has season-best scores of 331.80 on the 3-meter and 279.75 on the 1-meter. Transfer Gabby Filzen qualified for Zones on the 3-meter with a 288.50 and on the platform with a 247.88. Sophomore Julie Moons posted a career-best in the 1-meter and 3-meter with scores of 296.40 and 297.38, respectively, which also clinched her spot to Zones. Chloe McKnight earned a spot with a score of 285.38 on the platform.
