Nov 13, 2025 | Men's Basketball
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M men's basketball program and head coach Bucky McMillan announced the addition of Josh Irving and Neiko Mundey in the 2026 signing class Thursday evening.
"We are very excited about Josh and Neiko joining our basketball program," McMillan said. "Not only are they exceptional basketball players, but they are also great people who will represent our university well on all fronts. In our first freshman recruiting class, we felt it was imperative to recruit players who comprise high-level talent and can compete for championships in the toughest league in the country - the SEC. We also felt it was important to recruit players who value the hard work and unselfishness that will be demanded in our program as well as every aspect of our university. Both Josh and Neiko checked all boxes for what we evaluate in recruits and we can't wait for them to get to Aggieland!"
Irving is a consensus 4-star recruit of out of Pasadena, California, ranking among the top-40 players in the nation. He averaged 8.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game last season in AAU play. The 6-11, 200-pound forward boasts great athleticism while showing consistent improvement on both ends of the floor.
Mundey is a top-50 player in the 2026 class and is also rated as a 4-star prospect by all three major outlets. He averaged 21 points per game, shooting 44-percent from the field and 40-percent from 3-point range at Prince George's Christian Academy last season. A talented two-way player from Washington, D.C., Mundey also averaged 1.8 steals per game. He stands out with his length, athleticism, aggressive defense and competitive intensity. In his last AAU season, the 6-3, 185-pound guard averaged 21.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 49.4-percent from the field and 44.6-percent from 3-point range.
