
Women’s Basketball Hits the Road to Take on Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Texas A&M women's basketball team hits the road for its first road test of the season at the Bramlage Coliseum against the Kansas State Wildcats Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Aggies (2-0) are coming off a 79-64 win against Tarleton State that was led by an 18-point outing from Salese Blow and a 15-point performance from Lauren Ware, who shot a perfect 5-of-5 from the field. Fatmata Janneh and Ny'Ceara Pryor also stuffed the stat sheet with Janneh recording 11 rebounds to bring her season average to 10.5 and Pryor tallying 10 points, eight assists and four steals placing her second in the country in steals per game (6.0).
Off the bench, the Maroon & White are led by juniors Janae Kent and Pien Steenbergen. Kent has been a scoring punch for the Aggies having averaged 10.5 points in the first two games of the season while Steenbergen showcased her quick strike ability collecting five points in two minutes against Tarleton.
Texas A&M is returning to Kansas State for the first time since 2012 having split the last 10 matchups with the Wildcats, 5-5. Kansas State currently owns a 3-1 record on the season and are coming off a loss to South Dakota.
