Men's Basketball Takes on Montana in Midweek Matchup
Nov 17, 2025 | Men's Basketball
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M men's basketball team remains at Reed Arena to take on Montana Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The Aggies look to get back in the win column and snap a two-game skid, entering the week at 2-2 on the year after falling to UCF Friday. Montana is coming off a victory over Cal Poly to move to 4-1 on the year.
The Aggies were unable to hold on against UCF Friday, falling 86-74. Marcus Hill has led the offense the last two games with a pair of 14-point performances. Rashaun Agee brought down a team-best eight rebounds against the Knights, adding 13 points.
A strength for the Maroon & White early has been on the defensive end. The Aggies rank top-four in the SEC with 9.3 steals per game while also boasting a +3.5 turnover margin and are forcing 16 turnovers per outing. Texas A&M has also taken advantage of its opponents' miscues, scoring at least 20 points off turnovers in three of the team's four games.
With their fast pace of play, the Aggies remain reliant on their depth. They rank seventh nationally and second in the SEC with 45.3 points coming from the bench so far this year. Texas A&M has held the advantage in bench points in every game this season, contributing at least 30 points in each outing.
