Aggie Swimmers Head to Austin for Texas Invitational

The Texas A&M swim team competes in the Texas Invitational at the Jamail Texas Swim Center beginning on Wednesday and concluding on Friday

AUSTIN – The Texas A&M swim team competes in the Texas Invitational at the Jamail Texas Swim Center beginning on Wednesday and concluding on Friday. The men's team is currently ranked No. 25 and the women's team is currently ranked No. 24.
 
Joining the Aggies in Austin are Texas, USC, Stanford, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, and Wisconsin.
 
The Aggies have won their last 3 meets against TCU, SMU, and UH.
 
Leading the way for the men's team in their most recent meet against SMU were juniors Ben Scholl and Logan Brown. Scholl placed first and earned a qualifying time in the men's 50 free with a time of 19.42. Brown took first and earned a qualifying time in the men's 200 breast with a time of 1:54.82.
 
On the women's side, junior Ava Whitaker was dominant in the women's most recent meet against UH earning a qualifying time and placing first in the women's 200 fly with a time of 1:55.01. Senior Kaitlyn Owens also picked up a pair of victories in the 100 backstroke (53.29) and 50 freestyle (23.09).
 
Prelims start at 10:00 a.m. each day and finals begin at 6 p.m. Live results can be found on the Meet Mobile app.
