BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M men's basketball team embarks on a challenging road stretch, taking on Florida State in Tampa on Friday for the Battle of the Bay at Benchmark International Arena. Tip is set for 4 p.m. on ESPN2.
The Maroon & White are coming off back-to-back 100-point victories after topping Mississippi Valley State 120-84 Tuesday night. Aggies scored the second-most points in a game in program history and the most ever at Reed Arena. Mackenzie Mgbako led the way 19 points, including three 3-pointers, in his first significant minutes of the year. Rubén Dominguez and Zach Clemence added 15 apiece.
Dominguez ranks fifth nationally with 26 3-pointers on the year and his 3.7 3's per game are good for 142h. As a team, the Aggies ranks 14th in the country averaging 11.7 3's per game and second with 21.4 assists per outing.
The Aggies have been solid on defense so far this season. They rank second in the SEC forcing 17.9 turnovers per game while also sitting in the top five in the league in steals (9.0/g) and turnover margin (+6.3). Texas A&M has also taken advantage of its opponents' miscues, scoring at least 19 points off turnovers in six of the team's seven games.

Texas A&M has held the advantage in bench points in every game this season, contributing at least 30 points in each outing. Against Mississippi Valley State the Aggies saw a season-best 66 points come from non-starters.
Friday marks the fourth all-time meeting between the Aggies and Delta Devils. Florida State holds the advantage in the all-time series, 3-1.
