
Frusina Earns Spot in NCAA Singles Championship

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Texas A&M's Alex Frusina punched his ticket to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships after winning his quarterfinal playoff match at the ITA Central Sectionals Sunday.
The sophomore transfer faced off against teammate Tiago Pires in the quarterfinals playoff match. After dropping his first set against Pires, Frusina was able to rally back and take the last two sets, 1-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Frusina's win today earned him a spot at the NCAA Singles Championship in Orlando from November 18-23.
