LIBERTY CORNER, N.J. – Texas A&M's 2026 signee Emerie Schartz was named to the 2026 U.S. National Junior Team, the USGA announced Wednesday.
This is Schartz's third opportunity to represent the United States on the National Junior Team. The team is a pillar of the U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) that was established in 2023 to create a unified pathway designed to nurture the potential of America's top players.
Members of the team receive year-round support, including world-class coaching and analysis, sports psychology and nutritional guidance.
Schartz is a signee for the 2026 class and is the No. 27 overall junior golfer in the country and No. 9 in the 2026 class, according to the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The Wichita, Kansas, native has appeared in each of the last two U.S. Women's Amateurs and this past summer Schartz advanced to match play at the 76th U.S. Girls' Junior and went all the way to the quarterfinals of the tournament to take home a share of fifth. The incoming freshman is also the back-to-back Kansas Girls Junior Amateur Champion.
Texas A&M women's golf has won four tournaments this season after the fall portion of the schedule. The Aggies are undefeated in stroke play and ranked No. 4 on the WGCA Coaches Poll. The Maroon & White return to the course Feb. 1-3 at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge.
