Apr 22, 2025 | Baseball
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M outfielder Jace LaViolette has been tabbed the National Player of the Week by Perfect Game, as announced Tuesday afternoon.
The national honor marks the first of the year for the junior and the Aggies.
LaViolette, who was also named the SEC Player of the Week, bashed five homers, scored 10 times and plated 11 runs to help power Texas A&M to a 3-1 week, which included a road series win at No. 2 Arkansas. The junior slashed .412/.524/1.294 and homered in all four games, matching a career high. LaViolette also recorded a multi-hit game in three of the four contests and drove in multiple runs in all four games.
On the weekend, LaViolette totaled four homers and seven RBI as the Maroon & White picked up their first series win in Fayetteville since 2016. In the finale against the Razorbacks, LaViolette opened the scoring with a solo homer in the first and later put Texas A&M back in front for good with a go-ahead two-out, two-run opposite field homer to left. The multi-homer game marked the third of the season for the junior and 13th of his career.
