McMillan Adds Former Texas Tech, Creighton Standout Isaacs

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M men's basketball coach Bucky McMillan continued to build the Aggies' 2025-26 roster with the addition of former Texas Tech and Creighton standout guard Pop Isaacs on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-2 Isaacs has averaged over 14 points over 67 games in three collegiate seasons with the Red Raiders (2022-24) and Bluejays (2024-25). For his career, the Las Vegas native has scored 953 points and dished out 216 assists while hitting 36.2% of his field goal attempts, including 33.4% from beyond the arc. He's converted at an 85.2% clip from the free throw line. Isaacs has 14 games with 20 or more points, including a career-high 32 vs. No. 20 BYU in 2024.
Isaac's 2024-25 campaign cut short due to injury but he was averaging career highs of 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists before his season ended after eight games for the Bluejays. Against the Aggies at the Players Era Festival in November, Isaacs poured in 25 points while hitting 5-of-10 3-pointers and all eight of his free throw attempts. He also dished out a season-high six assists in the 77-73 loss to the Aggies.
In two seasons at Texas Tech, Isaacs scored 823 points and dished out 185 assists, while averaging 13.9 points and hitting 85.0% of his free throw attempts. He earned All-Big 12 honors as a sophomore in 2023-24 when he led the Red Raiders in scoring with 15.8 points per game (No. 6 in the Big 12) and free throws made and attempted (127-of-152). In a preseason exhibition matchup against the Aggies, Isaacs connected on six 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 30 points in just 23:11 of action in the Red Raiders' 89-84 win at the Super Pit in Denton, Texas.
