Men’s Tennis Season Ends in the Sweet 16

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Texas A&M men's tennis team's 2025 season ended in the Sweet 16 for a second straight year as the Aggies fell 4-0 to No. 1-ranked Wake Forest at the Wake Forest Tennis Center on Friday.
The No. 16-seed Aggies fell to 18-11, while the Demon Deacons improved to 37-1 as they head to the Elite 8.
Texas A&M challenged Wake Forest in doubles with the Aggies taking the ACC regular season champs to tiebreakers at courts 1 and 2 but the Deacon's clinched the double point with a 7-5 win in the breaker at court 2. The No. 4-ranked tandem of Theo Papamalamis and Togan Tokac held a 3-1 advantage in its tiebreaker at court 1 when the point was clinched.
Once in singles, Wake Forest took control with a trio of straight set victories at courts 1, 2 and 5. Senior Luke Casper was on the verge of putting the Aggies on the board at court 4 when the match was clinched, and senior Damien Salvestre had split sets at court 6.
