Texas A&M Hosting Two ITA Summer Series Events

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M's Mitchell Tennis Center is hosting two events in the prestigious ITA Summer Series in July.
Texas A&M welcomes players to Aggieland for an ITA Summer Points Race tournament July 19-20. The following week Mitchell Tennis Center serves as site of an ITA Summer Masters Series tournament July 25-27. Both events are singles only with men's and women's brackets.
The ITA Summer Points Race Series is a results-based points system over six weeks of play to track outstanding performers. Each weekend between six and 10 tournaments are played throughout the nation. At the conclusion of the Summer Points Race Series, the top three men and top three women in the standings receive automatic entry into the main draw of the ITA National Summer Championships.
The ITA Summer Masters Series features one event per week for six weeks. The tournaments are designed by the ITA to allow current and former college athletes, along with high-level juniors, the opportunity to have competitive match play over the summer. Draws are flighted based on a player's World Tennis Number (WTN).
Semifinalists at each Summer Masters Series event qualifies for the ITA National Summer Championships. In addition to Texas A&M, tournaments will be played at Wisconsin (June 13-15), UC San Diego (June 20-23), Northwestern (June 28-30), Baylor (July 12-13) and Wake Forest (July 18-20). Players are required to own a minimum 15.0 WTN on the men's side and 19.0 on the women's.
In order to participate, athletes will need both an ITA Player Membership and WTN. Registration is currently available for both events (ITA Summer Points Race – register ; ITA Summer Masters Series – register).
