Apr 18, 2026 | Men's Tennis
COLLEGE STATION – The No. 10 men's tennis team was unable to get by No. 1 Texas, falling 4-2 in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament Saturday afternoon at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
The Aggies (19-9) fell behind early after dropping the doubles point, but took the momentum back early in singles. Alex Frusina got things started, claiming the first set on court 1, 6-3. The Maroon & White held the advantage on courts 1 and 3, and were tied at 6-all on court 2 when rain rolled in and stopped play.
After the break, they picked up right where they left off as Theo Papamalamis picked up a 7-5 win on court 1 and Kholo Montsi added a 7-6 (3) win on court 2.
Frusina got Texas A&M on the board, making quick work of Texas' (23-6) Sebastian Eriksson, 6-3, 6-2, on court 2. Montsi kept things rolling to give the Aggies their first lead of the day, 2-1, closing things out with a 6-1 win in the second set.
