Parmar Finishes Eighth at Ben Hogan Collegiate

FORT WORTH –Shiv Parmar continued his strong freshman campaign with an eighth-place finish at the talent-laden Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational presented by Charles Schwab.
 
Parmar shot a 1-under 69 in Tuesday's third round to wrap up the tournament at 1-over 211. The Selma, Texas, native penciled in three birdies at the par-70, 7,289-yard Colonial Country Club. He was two strokes away from joining the five-golfer playoff to the determine the winner. Georgia Tech's Albert Hansson won with the lone birdie on the first playoff hole.
 
Parmar, who earned a t-9th at the season-opening 2nd Swing Gopher Invitational owns top 10s in his two collegiate appearances.
 
Texas A&M finished t-13th at 28-over-868. The Aggies finished Tuesday's round at 7-over 287. Four squads shared the team title with North Carolina, Texas, Vanderbilt and Virginia gridlocked at 10-over 850.
 
Aaron Pounds also recorded a top 20 finish for the Maroon & White. He recorded an even 70 Tuesday and finished the tournament t-17th at 3-over 213.
 
Wheaton Ennis also shot even 70 the final round to move 18 spots on the leaderboard. He checked in at t-45th at 9-ver 219.
