Texas A&M Set for Saturday Showdown at Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. – The Texas A&M men's basketball team hits the road to take on Oklahoma at the Lloyd Noble Center Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network.
The Aggies snapped a four-game skid with an 80-77 victory over Ole Miss Wednesday night. The Maroon & White played from behind for the first 18:08 of the second half, trailing by as many as 13 points, but put together a 12-2 run to close out the win. Rashaun Agee led the way with 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Zach Clemence and Marcus Hill added 14 points apiece, while Rubén Dominguez added 13 points and five assists.
Agee has been a consistent threat on both ends of the floor, scoring in double figures in 13 of the last 15 games and registering 14 double-digit rebounding games this season. He is one double-double shy of Texas A&M's single-season record after notching his 11th of the year in the win over the Rebels. Tyler Davis holds the record with 12 double-doubles in 2017-18. Agee is averaging 14.8 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in SEC play. On the year, Agee ranks second among league players a with 9.0 rebounds and 6.3 defensive boards per game.
Hill has been a spark on the offensive end for the Aggies as of late, scoring in double figures in five of the last six outings. He is averaging 15.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in that span, shooting 59-percent from the field.
The Aggies are No.10 in the country in scoring offense with 89.4 points per game and have seen at least 30 points come from non-starters in 16 games this season, including 30 at Vanderbilt. The Maroon & White rank second nationally and lead the conference averaging 36.9 bench points per game.
Oklahoma sits at 13-13 on the year, 3-10 in SEC play. The Sooners have won two of their last three but most recently fell at Tennessee, 89-66. Oklahoma holds a 31-14 lead in the all-time series, but the Aggies have taken each of the last three meetings, including an 83-76 victory at Reed Arena earlier this season. The last time the two teams met in Norman, Texas A&M walked away with an 80-78 win a season ago.
