Fernández García-Poggio, Borovilos Earn Spots on Spring ANNIKA Award Watch List

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Texas A&M's Vanessa Borovilos and Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio were named to the 2026 Spring ANNIKA Award Watch List, the organization announced Monday.
The pair have led the Aggies to the No. 3 spot on the Scoreboard Team Rankings and four tournament titles. Both golfers have an individual championship under their belt this year and will be participating in the prestigious Augusta National Women's Amateur April 1-4.
Borovilos is No. 10 on the Scoreboard Individual Ranking. The Canadian has five top-10 outings, including a victory at the Moon Golf Invitational. Fernández García-Poggio is the No. 16 ranked collegiate golfer. The junior won the Carmel Cup to open the year and has three overall top-five finishes.
Texas A&M is one of two SEC teams to have multiple golfers on the spring watch list. Twenty of the nation's best collegians were recognized on the docket Monday.
The Aggies return to action March 9-10 at the GameAbove Invitational. They look to host the "Mo" Morial Invitational April 6-8 at Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas, later this season.
