No. 9 Aggies Drop 4-1 Decision to No. 5 Buckeyes

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 9 Texas A&M men's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
The Aggies (12-7 overall) quickly found themselves in a hole as they dropped the doubles point with the Buckeyes (15-3) taking victories on courts 1 and 2 to clinch the advantage.
Once in singles, Texas A&M knotted the score at 1-1 when sophomore Theo Papamalamis posted a hard-fought 7-5, 6-1 win over ninth-ranked Aidan Kim at court 1. But the Buckeyes grabbed wins at courts 2, 4 and 5 to secure the win. On the other two courts, senior Togan Tokac had split the first two sets at court 6, while sophomore Alex Frusina was within a game of gaining a split of the first sets.
The Aggies return to action on Friday, March 20 with another top 10 matchups against the No. 6 Mississippi State Bulldogs at the Mitchell Tennis Center. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
