Swimming & Diving Celebrates 2025-26 at Annual Team Banquet

COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M swimming & diving team celebrated its 2025-26 season at the annual team banquet Saturday afternoon at the Jackie Sherrill Lettermen's Club at Kyle Field. Following the presentation of team awards, the Aggies recognized standout performances in the pool, classroom and community while honoring the program's culture and leadership.
Freshman diver Emilio Trevino Laureano was honored for his stellar first season in Aggieland, garnering the Trey Heye Newcomer Award and the Performance of the Year Award for becoming the first Aggie to win an NCAA Championship in the platform dive.
Logan Brown earned the Most Valuable Player Award on the men's side after a standout junior campaign. Brown qualified for NCAA Championships in three individual events and earned All-America honors with a 13th-place finish in the 200 breast. He also played a key role in the Aggies' relay success, helping the 200 free relay earn All-America recognition and contributing to a 15th-place finish in the 400 free relay.
Senior Kaitlyn Owens was named the women's MVP following an impactful season highlighted by her versatility across sprint freestyle events and relays. Owens contributed to multiple top-performing relay squads throughout the season, including the 200 free relay that placed 12th at NCAA Championships. She also posted top sprint splits, including a 21.64 in the 50 free and a 48.22 in the 100 free, while serving as a consistent leader for the Aggies in both competition and team culture.
Earning the women's Performance of the Year was the 200 freestyle relay foursome of Owens, Ella McQuinn, Eloise Williamson and Reagan Sherrard for earning a 12th place finish and All-America honors out of the outside lane at the NCAA Championships.
AJ Robinson and Ella McQuinn were recognized as the Most Improved award winners for their respective teams. Robinson made an immediate impact in his freshman season, lowering career-best times in the 200 fly (1:43.03) and 400 IM (3:42.96) while competing in three events at SEC Championships. McQuinn showed significant growth in her sophomore season, highlighted by a sub-1:00 performance in the 100 breast (59.84) at SEC Championships, along with key contributions to multiple relay lineups.
