COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M men's basketball added senior transfer Lukas Walls to the 2026-27 roster, head coach Bucky McMillan announced Tuesday.
Walls spent two years at Samford with McMillan before making the move to Radford for the 2025-26 season. With the Highlanders, the 6-5, 203-pound guard started 26 of the 32 games he appeared in, averaging 7.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, shooting 45.5-percent (46-101) from beyond the arc. He registered 11 double-digit scoring games last season, putting up a season-high 18 points in the finale against Presbyterian.
At Samford, Walls played in 33 games as a sophomore in 2024-25. He averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds as the Bulldogs went 22-11 to finish the season in the NIT. He was part of the best season in program history as a freshman, helping Samford finish the year at 29-6 and claim the SoCon regular season and tournament titles to secure their spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Knoxville, Tennessee, native appeared in 32 games his freshman year, adding 3.0 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.
