No. 12 Texas A&M Hosts No. 1 Oklahoma to Close Regular Season

COLLEGE STATION – The No. 12 Texas A&M softball team hosts No. 1 Oklahoma to close out the regular season beginning Thursday at 8 p.m. at Davis Diamond.
Game 2 is set for Friday at 5 p.m., followed by the series finale Saturday at 4 p.m. on ESPN 2, while the first two games will air on SEC Network. Women's College World Series crew Beth Mowins (play-by-play) and Michelle Smith (analyst) are in the booth for each game. Fans can also listen on the 12th Man Mobile app or locally on Maverick 100.9 FM.
With multiple Aggie events scheduled throughout the weekend, fans are encouraged to arrive early. Parking is $5 with a softball game ticket. On Saturday, parking remains $5 with a softball game ticket until 4:30 p.m., after which all Reed Arena lots will increase to $30 per vehicle due to the Savannah Bananas event.
Fans may purchase tickets in advance for Thursday's series opener at 12thman.com/softballtickets. Limited walk-up tickets will be available on game day for purchase one hour before first pitch each day of the series. Texas A&M's pitching staff ranks 11th nationally with a 2.93 strikeout-to-walk ratio and 17th with a 1.22 WHIP, while the offense ranks seventh in on-base percentage (.450), 19th in batting average (.346) and 19th in slugging percentage (.581).
Individually, Mya Perez ranks second nationally in on-base percentage (.621) and 14th in slugging percentage (.951), while Micaela Wark ranks 20th in RBI (63) and 23rd in home runs (23). Perez was recently named a USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 25 Finalist, an award recognizing the nation's top collegiate player based on season-long performance.

Texas A&M is 15-6 in SEC play and sits fifth in the standings entering the final regular-season series.
A&M has won 15 or more SEC games for the third consecutive season, marking the first time in program history the Aggies have accomplished the feat since joining the conference in 2013.
The Aggies have won every home SEC series this season, sweeping Kentucky and Mississippi State while taking two of three against Georgia.
Against SEC opponents, Texas A&M ranks second in the conference in on-base percentage (.429), third in batting average (.312) and third in OPS (.921). In league play, Mya Perez leads the SEC with 27 walks and a .633 on-base percentage, while Kennedy Powell leads the conference with 31 hits and nine doubles.
OKLAHOMA SERIES HISTORY
Texas A&M (35-14, 15-6 SEC) and Oklahoma (46-6, 18-3 SEC) were last scheduled to meet in the 2025 SEC Tournament in Athens, Georgia, before the game was canceled due to inclement weather. The teams were declared SEC Tournament co-champions.
The programs last met in Aggieland in 2012 as members of the Big 12. Texas A&M won the series finale, 4-0, after dropping the first two games.

The Aggies own a 185-56 (.768) record at Davis Diamond since the facility opened on April 27, 2018, and are 20-3 at home this season.
The 12th Man set a Davis Diamond attendance record of 2,880 in the fourth home game of the season on Feb. 7. Texas A&M ranks seventh nationally and fifth in the SEC with an average attendance of 2,038.

AUSL IN AGGIELAND
Davis Diamond will host the 2026 Athletes Unlimited Softball League postseason, including the play-in game and championship series, July 23-27.
Game 1 of the AUSL Championship Series will air on ABC, marking the first professional softball game broadcast on network television.
Texas A&M has strong ties to the league. Tori Vidales '18 has been a foundational figure in Athletes Unlimited since its 2020 launch, serving three years on the Player Executive Committee. She also hit the first home run in AUSL Championship history while helping lead the Talons to a title.
Jami Lobpries '08 serves as general manager of the Portland Cascade, while Amanda Scarborough '08 continues as a lead analyst on AUSL broadcasts. Emiley Kennedy '25 begins her second professional season after being selected seventh overall in the 2025 draft by the Chicago Bandits.
Senior Kennedy Powell was recently added to the AUSL reserve pool, joining former Aggie Mac Barbara. The reserve pool allows players to contribute throughout the season due to injuries, national team commitments or other roster needs.
