COLLEGE STATION – Former Auburn standout Hamza Nasridinov, a 2026 first-team All-SEC selection, has been added to the Texas A&M men's tennis roster for 2026-27, head coach Steve Denton announced.
Nasridinov, from Nurek, Tajikstan, is a rising junior after logging records of 40-17 in singles and 17-17 in doubles in two seasons with the Tigers.
Nasridinov had a breakout season in 2025-26, posting a team-best 26-9 overall singles record, including an 11-7 dual match record at the first line. He was 7-4 in SEC play and posted a 10-6 record against ranked opponents. His highest-ranked victory was a straight-set win over No. 15 Lucas da Silva of South Carolina. He advanced to the NCAA Singles Championships last fall, beating No. 33 Vignesh Goginen of Yale, 6-3, 7-6, in the first round before falling to No. 22 Trevor Svajda of SMU, 6-3, 2-6, 6-0, in the second round.
Noted for his clutch play, Nasridinov clinched Auburn's victories over No. 15 Florida, Tennessee, No. 7 LSU and No. 25 Ole Miss. He finished the 2025-26 season ranked a career-best No. 22 and was ranked in the ITA top 60 throughout the 2026 spring campaign. He was named SEC Player of the Week on April 1 after leading Auburn to an upset victory over No. 7 LSU with a 6-2, 6-2 clinching victory over No. 29 Olaf Pieczkowski.
