2017 (SENIOR): Hit .231 in 18 appearances and three starts at third base … Reached base at .600 clip working five walks in 25 plate appearances … Tied for the team lead in HBP with seven … Went deep and reached three times against Prairie View (3/22) driving in two and scoring twice … Was HBP twice against No. 9 Tennessee (5/5).
2016 (JUNIOR): Saw action in nine games, starting one … Went 4-for-11 at the plate with two home runs and three RBI … Hit solo home runs against San Diego and Sam Houston State … Started at first base against UCF.
2015 (SOPHOMORE): Made 30 starts in 42 appearances in her second year ... Recorded an on-base percentage of .423 and a slugging percentage of .350 ... Ended the season with a .225 batting average ... Hit two home runs against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 14) and Houston (Feb. 25) ... logged 14 runs and 18 hits with 16 RBI.
2014 (FRESHMAN): Saw action in 29 games with 19 starts … Recorded an on-base percentage of .339 and a slugging percentage of .365 … Ended the regular season with a .250 batting average … Hit her first career home run against Oklahoma State (5/2 )… Logged six runs and 13 hits for the season, with four RBI.
HIGH SCHOOL: Boenker is a local product who has led her Bryan High School team to a pair of District 12-5A championships (2010, 2012). She owns two Academic All-District awards and was selected the district Newcomer of the Year in 2010. The catcher-third baseman combo was named to the 2012 TGCA All-State first team and was first team all-district in 2011. Boenker holds the Viking records for home runs in a season, walks in a season and career home runs, and has been named the BHS softball defensive MVP (2010), "Big Stick" award winner (2011) and the team MVP (2012). She has also had a standout career with her summer ball team, helping the Impact Gold to three consecutive top-three finishes at nationals, where she posted .400+ batting averages the past two seasons. Boenker is also a talented volleyball player and has been named all-district for the past three years, while taking the 2011-12 Viking MVP awards. She plays summer ball with the Impact Gold and Coach KC Jackson.
PERSONAL: Reagan Boenker was born July 13, 1994 to parents Wayne and Lisa Boenker ... Has one sister, Taylor ... Mom Lisa ‘88 and uncle Tim ‘82 both went to Texas A&M ... A kinesiology major who plans to teach elementary school PE and work as a high school assistant coach in volleyball and softball ... Enjoys photography and playing volleyball in her spare time ... Chose Texas A&M because “it is a great school and has great traditions and a great softball program. Plus living in Bryan, I’ve been an Aggie pretty much my whole life.”
