Branstine rejoined the Aggies for a postseason push following a stint in the professional ranks following a season-ending injury in 2023… She made her debut in the SEC Tournament where she helped A&M reach the final for the fourth-consecutive season… Continuing in the postseason, she played a crucial role in the team’s first NCAA Tournament title, garnering NCAA All-Tournament Team honors in both singles and doubles… She finished the year ranked No. 41 in singles with a 5-1 record and No. 74 in doubles with Lucciana Perez holding a 4-1 record.
2022-23 (Senior)
Branstine had her season cut short due to injury... she logged a singles record of 7-4 including three ranked wins which was highlighted by a victory over No. 17 Sydni Ratliff from Ohio State... She held a doubles record of 12-1 across two partners (Jayci Goldsmith and Mary Stoiana), her partnership with Stoiana went untarnished as the pair were undefeated (9-0), earning them All-American and All-SEC First Team honors due to their high ranking.
2021-22 (JUNIOR)
Posted a 17-9 record in singles coupled with a strong 21-3 mark in doubles action… Owns the highest ranked singles victory in school history, defeating No. 1 Eryn Cayetano of USC 6-4, 6-3 during ITA Indoors… Became A&M’s highest-ranked singles athlete in eight years on May 4, climbing to the No. 8 spot… Was named an ITA Singles All-American at the conclusion of the season after garnering a top-16 seed in the NCAA Singles Tournament… Named SEC Player of the Week following her record-setting win over Cayetano for the week of Feb. 16… Notched the clinch victory in A&M’s historic sweep over No. 7 Georgia… Cemented her first ranked win over No. 46 Margarita Skriabina of Texas Tech… Published a 14-7 overall record against nationally-ranked singles opponents… Crushed No. 11 McCartney Kessler in straight sets during the SEC Tournament Semifinal win over host-Florida... PERSONAL: Carson Branstine was born in September of 2000 in Orange, Calif… Is the youngest daughter of Bruce and Carol Branstine… Has two sisters, Cassidy and Constance… Constance was a member of the USC women’s tennis team, while Cassidy was a member of the women’s tennis program at UC Irvine… Her cousin, Freddie Freeman, is an All-Star first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers… Spent one season apiece at USC and Virginia before transferring to Texas A&M in January of 2022… Majoring in Society, Ethics and Law with a minor in Philosophy, and expects to graduate from Texas A&M in May of 2023… Aspires to continue her tennis career professionally and eventually attend law school to become an entertainment lawyer… In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, playing guitar and modeling… She is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada, and represents Canada professionally
