Rebar excelled in the classroom as well as on the field, being named Fox News Scholar Athlete of the Week and ranking No. 1 in a class of 517 at Holmes High School. The NHS and EHS Member was selected District 27-5A Newcomer of the Year in 2011. Rebar – a six-foot lefty catcher – was a two-time All-Area Super Team selection.
