2014 (Junior)
Made his starting debut in 2014 ... started nine of 12 games at right guard while seeing action in every game ... provided protection for the SEC’s top passing attack, which led the conference in passing yards and touchdowns ... team ranked No. 5 in scoring and No. 5 in total offense in the SEC ... Aggies allowed 27 sacks (2.1 per game), while attempting 514 passes (39.5 per game).

Saw action in all 13 games … blocked for the powerful Aggie offense, which was one of only three teams to rank in the top 10 nationally in scoring, passing and total offense … Offense additionally ranked first in the nation in first downs offense and in the top 25 nationally in completion percentage, 3rd down conversion percentage, 4th down conversion percentage and team passing efficiency.

Joseph Hamilton Cheek is the son of Louis and Suzann Cheek of Seguin, Texas … born Dec. 2, 1992 … university studies major (architecture) ... his father, Louis Cheek, was a standout offensive tackle for the Aggies under Jackie Sherrill from 1984-87 and played on three Southwest Conference Championship teams. He was an eighth round selection of the Miami Dolphins in 1988 and played four seasons in the NFL.
