2012 (FRESHMAN): Did not see action during a redshirt season... pitched for the East Texas Pump Jacks of the Texas Collegiate League... worked in 11 games, including 10 starts, posting a 2-5 record with a 4.12 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 59.0 innings... earned win in his only playoff game, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out three over 6.0 innings in start against the Victoria Generals.
AT BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Coach Jim Long at Brenhan High School, lettering three years... helped lead BHS to the 2009 4A State Championship and the state semi-finals in both 2009 and 2010... as a sophomore (2009) went 8-1 with a 2.46 ERA, earning second team all-district honors... went 9-2 with a 2.21 ERA while also hitting .333 at the plate during BHS’s run to a state title as a junior (2010)... named first team All-Brazos Valley and second team 4A All-State by the Texas Sports Writers Association... during his senior season (2011) went 11-2 with a 2.26 ERA en route to first-team all-district accolades... also earned three letters in football as a quarterback, earning district MVP, All-Greater Houston Second Team and All-Brazos Valley Second Team honors... earned THSBCA Academic All-State honors... a member of the National Honor Society and a KBTX Classroom Champion selection as a senior... played summer ball with the Brazos Valley Renegades.
PERSONAL: Ty Conner Schlottmann was born June 1, 1992, in Katy, Texas, to parents Charles and Connie Schlottmann... has an older brother, Clay... majoring in recreation, park and tourism science... hopes to work for a professional sports team after graduation... enjoys hunting, fishing and hanging out with friends in his spare time.
