Earned NCEA All-America honors for the first time in her career … was an
honorable mention pick … selected to the All-Big 12 team in reining by the
league’s head coaches … led the discipline in wins with an 11-5-1 mark … topped
the Aggie reining crew with a 70.35 scoring average … ranked second among
A&M reiners with a pair of MVPs … one of four western riders to compete in
all 17 events … won 9 of 11 rides over a span of five months (11/5-4/13) …
picked up two wins at NCEAs, helping the Aggies to the overall national championship
and the western national title … defeated Fresno State’s Lauren Crivelli
126-118.5 in the quarterfinals (4/12) … knocked off South Carolina’s Cody

2010-11 (SOPHOMORE)
Posted third-highest win total among reiners with a 9-5-1 record ... one of three reiners who rode in every show on the year (Abigail Grabein, Randi Standley) ... unbeaten at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships, helping lead the Aggies to their third straight western national title ... her 140-point effort in the finals against Kansas State (4/16) clinched the championship ... opened the year with a season-best 4-show win streak, including a 70.5-point ride and MVP honors in victory at Baylor (11/12) ... season-best score of 73 came in defeat of K-State’s Samantha Etsell in Manhattan (2/26) ... other regular-season victories came against UT Martin (9/25), Oklahoma State (10/30), Auburn (11/5) and Baylor (2/12) ... a second-team Academic All-Big 12 At-Large selection ... named a Texas A&M Athletics Scholar Award winner.
2009-10 (FRESHMAN)
Went 1-3 in reining ... average score was 67.75 ... picked up first collegiate victory in a 69-66.5 win over K-State’s Kaylee Stout (2/19) ... won all three exhibition rides on the year.

Rebecca Patricia Murray is the daughter of Craig and Lisa Murray of Burbank, California ... born March 15, 1991 in Burbank ... has two older siblings, Courtney and Jessie ... majoring in animal science ... chose Texas A&M because of the equestrian team, the atmosphere, the students and the College of Agriculture ... a 2009 graduate of Burbank High School ... a member of the California Scholarship Federation and the American Sign Language Honor Society ... has been riding 14 years, primarily reining ... personal trainer is Tom Foran ... has top-10 finishes in each of the last three seasons at the AQHYA World Show ... won the limited and intermediate non-pro and the youth competitions at the 2008 National Reining Horse Association’s affiliate finals.
