Ellsworth spent the 2023 season as an offensive analyst at Nebraska, working with the tight ends and quarterbacks. He previously served as an offensive graduate assistant at South Carolina in 2022, helping the Gamecocks finish No. 20 nationally with consecutive top-10 victories over Tennessee and Clemson.
He began his coaching career at Kansas State as an offensive graduate assistant in 2020 and 2021. Working under Collin Klein, Ellsworth assisted in the development of All-America running back Deuce Vaughn and standout quarterback Skylar Thompson.
A former quarterback at Northern Iowa from 2016-19, which included redshirting his freshman season under Collin Klein. Ellsworth also set multiple Nebraska state passing records at Grand Island Northwest High School.
A native of Grand Island, Nebraska, Ellsworth earned his degree in digital media leadership from UNI in 2019 and a master’s in academic advising from Kansas State in 2022. He and his wife, Cassidy, have a daughter, Ada.
