Warren Fitzpatrick arrived in Aggieland in the spring of 2025 to serve as the Director of Operations and Assistant General Manager and was elevated to General Manager in May 2026.
In his role as GM, Fitzpatrick oversees roster and salary cap management, along with player valuations, donor relations, fundraising and agent relations. as the
Fitzpatrick came to Texas A&M after three years on Bucky McMillan's staff at Samford. He was named Samford’s Director of Operations in 2022 and elevated to Chief of Staff in 2024. In addition to his operational duties, Fitzpatrick supervised the team’s fundraising and donor relationships, played a key role in the development of the Bucky McMillan Basketball Camps and contributed to opposing team scouting.
He began his career as a graduate assistant on McMillan’s staff in 2021 while pursuing his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration on sports business.
Before his time working with the men’s basketball program, Fitzpatrick was a four-year letterwinner for the Samford men’s track & field team. He helped lead the Bulldogs to three Southern Conference team championships and ran the anchor leg on the indoor and outdoor school record 1,600-meter relays. An active member of Birmingham Young Life and the Samford Ambassadors as an undergraduate, Fitzpatrick earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2021, with a concentration in sports marketing.
A Birmingham, Alabama, native, Fitzpatrick played basketball for McMillan at Mountain Brook High School before his arrival at Samford.
