Spencer Starrett joined the Athletics Department in April of 2018 as the Assistant Equipment Manager for Olympic Sports. Spencer will oversee general supervision and oversight of Olympic sports equipment and apparel, daily oversight and operation of all equipment operations as well as implementation and inventory control for all sports via the Front Rush online inventory management system, oversee ordering process for each sport from vendors such as Adidas and Nike.
Spencer graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. Prior to joining our staff, Spencer was the Head Equipment Manager for Olympic Sports at the United States Air Force Academy, an Assistant Equipment Manager working with both Football and Olympic Sports at the University of Houston, and worked as both a training camp Intern and a full time intern with the Houston Texans for 2 years. Spencer is a Certified Athletic Equipment Manager, through the Athletic Equipment Mangers Association.
Spencer is married to Jennifer (Class of ’13) and has a daughter, Sydney.
