2022: Indoor - Competed in the 60m (7.94) and long jump (16-8.5/5.09m) at the Ted Nelson Invite... Finished ninth at the Aggie Invite with a long jump of 17-9.5/5.42m... Long jumped a distance of 17-4/5.28m at the Charlie Thomas Invite... Earned a seventh place finish at the Texas A&M vs Texas Dual Meet with a jump of 18-9.25/5.72m (w/1.9)... At the 44 Farms Team Invite, she jumped 18-3.25/5.57 (w/2.2) to finish eighth.
2021: Indoor - Opened the indoor season at the Ted Nelson Invitational, ran in the 60m (7.92) and long jumped (17-9/5.41m)...Recorded an indoor season best long jump mark of 18-1.5/5.52m at the Charlie Thomas Invitational. Outdoor - Recorded a personal best long jump mark of 19-3.5/5.88m at the Texas vs. Texas A&M dual meet...Clocked a personal best 100m time of 12.42 at the Texas A&M Team Invitational...Had a wind-aided long jump mark of 18-2.5/5.55m (w/2.6) at the Michael Johnson Invitational.
2020: Indoor - Competed in six meets...Opened the season running a personal and season best 60m time of 7.83...Recorded two top-10 finishes at the Aggie Invitational placing sixth in 200m (25.39) and ninth in 60m (7.83)...Finished the indoor season placing second with a personal best long jump mark of 5.67m/18-7.25 at the Texas A&M Invitational. Outdoor - Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
High School: 2019 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School in Port Neches, Texas … Coached by Brittany Fruge … Competed in long jump, 100m and 200m … Produced best marks of 19-0 ¾ (long jump), 11.8h (100m), 24.74 (200m) … Senior season in 2019 earned a bronze medal in State 5A long jump with a mark of 18-1 ½w, after placing second in Region III-5A meet with a leap of 18-5 ¼ … Also advanced to region meet in 100m and 200m, placing fifth in the 200m and sixth in the 100m … Won district and area titles in both sprint events … As a junior in 2018, placed sixth in long jump at State 5A meet with a mark of 18-2 ½w … Produced a leap of 19-0 ¾ to win district title, then won area with an 18-3 and finished as runner-up in region at 18-1 … Finished fifth as a sophomore in State long jump (18-4 ¼w) after winning district and area titles while placing second in region meet … Also competed in volleyball, basketball and softball.
Personal: Jacie Blane Droddy is the daughter of Shane and Tammy Droddy, born June 27, 2001 in Beaumont, Texas … Hometown is Groves, Texas … Has four siblings, Richard, Dalton, Kylee and Mason … Father placed football at Midwestern State University … Grandfather, Jim Aarons, played football at Northeast Louisiana … Her mother is Texas A&M Class of ’96 along with aunt Marley Schrepple while another aunt, Jessica Merritt is Class of ’01 … Her brother Dalton is Class of ’21 … Chose Texas A&M because she was born to be an Aggie .. Started competing in track and field at age 10 … Majoring in Biomedical Sciences.

I chose Track & Field over other sports because: I love to run and jump and love that track is the purest form of competition.

Top three things on my bucket list: Compete for a National Championship, Be part of a National Championship Team, Put on my Aggie Ring!!!
