2016 (JUNIOR): Appeared in 40 games, starting 22 … Hit .346 with 19 RBI, six doubles and one triple … Recorded career highs in hits (4) and runs scored (3) against Sam Houston State on April 20 … Drove in a season-high three runs at Tennessee and against SHSU … Went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored against UC Santa Barbara at the Mary Nutter Classic.
2015 (SOPHOMORE): Started all 60 contests … Scored 41 runs on 49 hits, including seven doubles and seven home runs … Held a slugging percentage of .414 and on-base percentage of .363 … Hit a three-run, walk off home run in the Aggies’ SEC opener against Kentucky.
2014 (FRESHMAN): Saw action and started in 59 games as a true freshman … Logged 176 at-bats with 52 hits, 43 runs and 40 RBI … Leads the team in four categories: runs scored (43), doubles (14), triples (3) and stolen bases (4) … Ended the season second in assists (93) and third in putouts (129) for the team … Holds a tie for most runs scored in a game (4 vs. Bakersfield, 2/8) … Her three doubles against Lamar (4/30) are a season-high … Finished the regular season with a .295 batting average, an on base percentage of .377 and a slugging percentage of .477 … Logged four home runs on the year, with the most recent occurring against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (4/22).
HIGH SCHOOL: The lefty hitter started her high school career as a standout at Crowley High School, where she was named the school's MVP and Offensive Player of the Year as a freshman while taking District 8-4A First-Team and Newcomer of the Year honors. In 2012, Ryan was named First-Team All-District 8-5A and the district's Defensive MVP.
PERSONAL: April Lyn Ryan was born April 12, 1995 to parents Michael and Yun Ok Ryan of Burleson, Texas ... Has three siblings: Austin Ryan, Lisa Ryan and Michelle Jones ... A sport management major who plans to become an assistant coach after graduation ... enjoys playing sand volleyball, drawing and painting in her spare time ... Chose A&M becuase she felt at home when she came on her official visit.
