CAREER: Finished her career ranked fourth in assists (467) and seventh in home runs (43).
2018 (SENIOR): Started in all 62 games at SS … Batted .194 with six home runs and 24 RBI … Drew 21 walks … Hit the first walk-off in Davis Diamond with a single in the seventh against Auburn (4/28) … Started the Aggies’ comeback against Texas Tech with a double to left center (2/10) … Belted a two-run homer against McNeese in the NCAA College Station Regional (5/19).
2017 (JUNIOR): Started in 57 games at shortstop … Named to the All-SEC Second Team … Hit .277 over 155 at-bats with nine doubles and 11 home runs … Had consecutive games with homers against Missouri State and Stephen F. Austin driving in five over the two games (2/18-19) … Drove in three against UTSA with a homer (3/3) … Went deep twice for the third time in her career while driving in a season-high five runs against Oklahoma State (4/8) … Had a string of 115-consecutive games played until a late season injury knocked her out for the first Tennessee series … Drove in three during the first NCAA tournament game against Texas Southern (5/19).
2016 (SOPHOMORE): Started in all 59 games at SS … Led the team with 16 home runs and 61 RBI … Hit .309 with eight doubles and 20 walks … Belted two home runs on April 23 at Mizzou … Drove in a career-high five runs and scored three times at San Diego … Tied a career high with three hits in A&M’s upset win over No. 1 Florida on May 1.
2015 (FRESHMAN): Scored 32 runs in 59 starts on the season, hitting 21 singles and adding six doubles and 10 home runs for a 26 RBI … Has seven sacrifice hits and added 24 walks to her on-base percentage of .339 … Contributed 10 dingers, with the final two coming in the NCAA Tournament against Lehigh and Oklahoma (May 15-16).
Previous Athletic Background
Cuyos was a Pearland High School standout who was named an NFCA All-American in 2012. The infielder was titled All-State by the Texas Sports Writers Association for the past three seasons and ended her junior year with a second-straight First Team All-District award at shortstop. Her four years as a varsity starter began with Cuyos earning a 2011 PHS Newcomer of the Year award, to which she added PHS Offensive Player of the Year honors as a sophomore in 2012 and PHS Co-Defensive Player of the Year accolades in 2012 and 2013. In addition to numerous weekly crowns, Cuyos has been named TGCA All-State (2012) and NFCA All-South Central Region (2011-12. Cuyos played summer ball with Coach Dave McCorkle and the Aces Express Gold, who earned 5th at ASA Nationals last year. Outside of softball, she volunteered as a teacher’s aide for special needs kids, donated her time to the Special Olympics, and helped as a youth coach in Pearland.
