Courtney Gallagher started as Assistant Director of Performance Nutrition in August of 2018.
Gallagher comes to A&M following over two years as the Sports Dietitian for the James Madison University athletic department. During that time, she worked with all 17 of the JMU athletic teams and was a member of the Integrated Health and Sport Performance Team. She also served on the Dukes C.A.R.E (Care and Recovery Enhancement) Team while a James Madison, which is a multidisciplinary team of health care providers for at-risk student-athletes. Gallagher worked closely with the FCS 2017 National Championship and 2018 National Runner-Up football team, as well as the 2018 Women's Lacrosse National Championship team while at James Madison.
In 2015-16, she worked as a Sports Nutrition Assistant at the University of Georgia, where she assisted the volleyball, softball, men's tennis and equestrian teams.
Her career started at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she completed her dietetic internship and worked as a graduate assistant sports nutritionist for UB Athletics.
Gallagher is a Registered Dietitian, a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, and is a member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA) since 2012.
Gallagher is a graduate of Cornell University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences in 2013. She was a four-year member of the varsity women's lacrosse team at Cornell. She added a master's degree in Nutrition from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2015.
