Susan Tatum joined the Athletic Compliance Office in March 2004 and serves as an Assistant Athletics Director for Athletic Compliance at Texas A&M.
In that role, she coordinates and oversees the monitoring of academic eligibility and squad lists, recruiting documentation, coaches' travel and expenses, complimentary admissions, team travel, and coordinates student-athlete and staff award nominations. She also assists in educational efforts and the preparation of waivers submitted to the NCAA.
A native of College Station, Tatum graduated from Texas A&M in 1990 with a degree in kinesiology and earned a master's in sport administration from the University of North Carolina in 1993. Before joining the compliance office, she spent 12 years as a teacher and coach in College Station ISD.
Tatum is a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) and The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA). She enjoys reading, watching movies, travelling, attending athletic events, advising college student organizations, serving as a youth counselor at A&M United Methodist Church, and spending time with family.
