John Scheschuk '99 played first base and was a four-year letterman for the Texas A&M baseball team from 1996-99. He earned All-Big 12 honors twice, 1998 and 1999, and was selected the Marion Pugh Most Valuable Player following his senior season. During Scheschuk's tenure, the Aggie baseball team won two conference championships, 1998 and 1999, and advanced to the 1999 College World Series. He holds the single-season school record for most walks (57) and games played (70). For his career, Scheschuk ranks in the Texas A&M top 10 in putouts (1,210), batting average (.352), walks (107) and home runs (28).
In addition to his exploits on the diamond, Scheschuk has also represented Texas A&M following the conclusion of his playing days by serving a term as president of the Texas A&M Lettermen's Association.
