Bernard King scored 18 points and added eight assists as Texas A&M defeated George Washington 87-63 Monday night.
A&M (1-0) never trailed as its full-court press and size advantage allowed the Aggies to take as much as a 27-point lead.
Chris Monroe led George Washington (1-2) with 23 points, including hitting 10 of 15 free throws.
The Aggies showed their improved depth, scoring 25 points off the bench.
George Washington trailed by 11 at the end of the first half. The Colonials hit just 3 of 15 3-pointers and weren't able to get back in the game.
The Aggies dominated on the boards, out-rebounding George Washington 44-27.
