Craig Stinson recorded three of the Aggies' 12 hits and Doug Frame struck out nine in five innings to lead No. 9 Texas A&M to an 11-1 win over Texas-San Antonio, before 3,976 fans at Olsen Field Wednesday.

Frame (1-1) earned his first collegiate win by not allowing a run on three hits in a game that was shortened to seven innings due to the 10-run rule.

With the win, the Aggies improved to 25-6 while the Roadrunners dropped to 15-11.

Frame escaped mini-jams in the first and second innings. Sam Mitchell led off the first with a triple and Chris Lewis led off the second with a double. Neither runner would score, however, as Frame fanned five of the other six hitters he faced in those two innings.

The Aggies struck the game's first blow in the bottom of the fourth when they scored seven runs on four hits and two UTSA errors. Craig Stinson and Coby Mavroulis each had RBI doubles, Brian Bowe had a RBI single, Cliff Pennington drove in a run with a fielder's choice and Austin Boggs pushed a run across with a sacrifice fly.

The Aggies added four more runs in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 11-0. Bowe and Travis Bartek each drove in runs with singles and Pennington drove in his second and third runs of the game with a single.

Kyle Marlatt pitched a scoreless sixth and Kevin Whelan allowed a run in the top of the seventh.

The Aggies return to conference action this weekend when play Oklahoma State in a three-game series. The first game of the set will be played on Friday, April 2, at 7 p.m.
