Texas A&M sophomore Joseph Jones and junior Acie Law have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 9 Team.
District 9 includes all Division I schools in Texas and Arkansas.
A first-team pick, Jones is averaging 16.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. He ranks among the Big 12's top 10 players in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and steals.
A second-team selection, Law is averaging 16.4 points and 3.7 assists per game. He ranks among the Big 12's top 10 in scoring, assists, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and assist/turnover ratio.
This marks the sixth straight year A&M has had at least one all-district choice. Antoine Wright was a first-team selection last season. The last time A&M had two players selected was in 2004, when Bernard King made the first team and Wright was named to the second team.
Other first team members this year are Arkansas' Ronnie Brewer and Texas' LaMarcus Aldridge, P.J. Tucker and Daniel Gibson. Other second-team members are Texas Tech's Jarrius Jackson, Rice's Morris Almond, Houston's Lonny Smith and Texas' Brad Buckman.
