"Missouri is a very good hitting team and our pitchers will need to be on top of their game to shut them down. It is a big weekend for us in terms of standings and momentum going into post season play. It is also Senior Day on Sunday, so I look forward to being able to honor Rocky Spencer for all her sacrifice and dedication to making Texas A&M Softball one of the premier programs in the country."
The Aggies split the season series with Baylor on Wednesday, losing the mid-week, home-game 5-0. Earlier this season, A&M handed the Lady Bears a 4-3 eight-inning loss in Waco.
Missouri dropped to 4-6 in Big 12 play, 20-20 overall, with a 5-1 loss to Kansas on Wednesday at Arrocha Ballpark in Lawrence, Kan. A week earlier, the Tigers beat the Jayhawks 4-0 in Columbia to even the series 1-1 between the two teams.
Jamie Hinshaw snapped an eight-game hitting streak against Baylor, but still leads the Aggie batters with a .328 average. Hinshaw has hit five home runs, two triples and six doubles to drive in 24 runs.
For the Tigers, Jen Bruck is hitting .346 with 17 RBI, seven home runs and five doubles.
Last season, A&M lost both games to Missouri in Columbia (6-5, 5-4) but continues to lead the all-time series 23-17.
Saturday's game will be broadcast live on Cox Sports Television. Live audio and stats will also be available at AggieAthletics.com. Fans attending the games can listen to the broadcast inside the stadium on 89.9 FM.
