
No. 15 Women Pick Up Big Road Win At No. 11 Kentucky, 81-69

LEXINGTON, Ky.- No. 15 Texas A&M moved into a tie for third place in the SEC, picking up a 81-69 win over No. 11 Kentucky in a women's basketball game at Memorial Coliseum.
Kentucky (19-7, 8-5 SEC) led by as many as eight in the first half, but the Aggies (21-6, 9-4 SEC) closed the first half on an 8-0 run to take a 38-31 lead into intermission. The Aggies opened the second half on a 16-5 run to take a 54-36 lead with 12:07 to play, and never looked back, leading by as many as 23 with 9:07 to play. Kentucky never inched any closer than 10 points.
The win is the 50th of Gary Blair's time at Texas A&M over an AP ranked team, and third ranked win this season. Overall, Blair is 693-278 in his Hall of Fame career, and needs just seven more wins to become the 15th Division I coach with 700.
Five Aggies reached double figures, led by Courtney Walker, who had 19. Walker is averaging 20.4 points since Feb. 5, and is the leading scorer in the SEC. She was joined in double figures by Courtney Williams (16), Jordan Jones (12), Achiri Ade (12) and Khaalia Hillsman (10). Ade had her third double double of the season, adding 13 rebounds to her total.
The Aggies return to Reed Arena on Sunday, February 22 to host Florida at 3 p.m. for the BTHO Breast Cancer game.

• The Aggies have now won three straight SEC games and have won five of their last six games
• A&M is now tied for third in the SEC Standings. Texas A&M controls its own destiny to earn a top four seed, and bye into the quarterfinals in the SEC Tournament.
