Seven different players for the Maroon & White scored in the first 10 minutes of the contest, with Pryor leading the way with seven points and three assists.
Ole Miss chipped away at the Aggie lead, pushing to within two points, 32-30, with 2:25 remaining in the half. Pryor would draw a foul to put two points on the board and a late triple on the final possession of the second quarter by Janneh would give Texas A&M a 37-30 advantage after 20 minutes of action. Janneh made three triples and scored 11 points in the first two quarters, while the team shot 53.8% (14-of-26) from the field and 71.4% (5-of-7) from deep.
