LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas A&M junior golfer Adrià Arnaus carded a one-under par 70 on Friday during the second round of the NCAA Lubbock Men's Golf Regional.
The Barcelona, Spain, native climbed 16 spots on the individual leaderboard to end the tournament's second round in a tie for 26th place. Arnaus (72-70=142) stands at even par through 36 holes.
Meanwhile, Aggie teammate Greg Yates (69-75=144, +2) carded a four-over par 75 Friday to own a share of 42nd place.
Both A&M golfers will enter the Regional's final round on Saturday looking to advance to the NCAA Men's Golf Championships which will take place May 29-June 3 at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla.
The top five teams after Saturday's final round will advance to the NCAA Championship. To punch their ticket to Florida, Arnaus or Yates will have to stand out as the highest-ranking golfer in the individual standings who is not on an advancing team.
