
No. 11 Womens Golf Tees Off at NCAA San Antonio Regional Thursday

SAN ANTONIO- The No. 11 Texas A&M women's golf team heads to Briggs Ranch Golf Club for the NCAA San Antonio Regional from May 7-9. The top six teams out of 18 schools at the regional advance to the NCAA Championships, May 22-29 in Bradenton, Fla.
The Aggies enter the tournament as the third-seeded team in the field, after automatically qualifying by winning the SEC Championship on April 19. This is the second time the Aggies have competed on the par 72 / 6,350 yard Briggs Ranch course this season, having set a school-record with a final-round 13-under (275) at the Alamo Invitational on Oct. 28.
Texas A&M is led by three First Team All-SEC selections—Bianca Fabrizio, Marijosse Navarro, and Maddie Szeryk. Fabrizio was the SEC's individual champion, shooting a tournament-record 207 (-9). Navarro, who is on pace to break her own Texas A&M single-season stroke average record, is fresh off a 51st-place finish at the LPGA's Volunteers of America North Texas Shootout, finishing the tournament as the low amateur. Szeryk, who was the runner-up at the SEC Championship, was also the league's Freshman of the Year.
The Aggies tee off at 9:09 on Thursday to begin the NCAA Regional. Texas A&M and Traditions Club will host an NCAA Regional in the 2016 season. Fans can follow along with live scoring at golfstat.com.
